Summary: A beautiful northern island in Japan that’s known for its scenery, skiing, and volcanoes. Its capital is Sapporo – and to give you an idea of size, Hokkaido is roughly 37 times larger than Tokyo.

There’s also plenty of hiking trails, six national parks (Shiretoko National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site), hot springs such as Noboribetsu, and the viewing spot known as the “Sea of Clouds”.
Summary: The Azores is a Portuguese archipelago in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, and Sao Miguel is the biggest of its island.
