In case you missed it, we have started a series of blog posts called “Positive News & Honestly Good Inspiration” – you can read the first article here. The aim of the game is to lift your spirits and focus on the Honestly Good things happening in the world right now – it’s what we all need right?

Inspiring Quotes of the Month:

“Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone’s face? Did I say words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love? These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and the life to come.” – Henri Nouwen

“Live life to the fullest, and focus on the positive.” Matt Cameron

“A good laugh is sunshine in the house.” – William Makepeace Thackeray

“It’s a wonderful thing to be optimistic. It keeps you healthy and it keeps you resilient.” – Daniel Kahneman

“Your attitude is like a box of crayons that color your world. Constantly colour your picture grey, and your picture will always be bleak. Try adding some bright colours to the picture by including humor, and your picture begins to lighten up.” – Allen Klein.

Inspiring Company of the Month: Glimpse

What They Do: A collective of creative people who use their skills for good.

Summary: Glimpse is a creative agency with a big heart! They bring together creative people around the world to work with big NGOs, small grassroots campaigns, and run their own in-house projects too. This is a creative agency with a difference – they write their own briefs, create independent campaigns, and help ethical brands ‘turbocharge their campaigns and burst through into popular culture’. It’s about fun, collaboration, and most importantly – using their skills and talents for the greater good. We love their drive, we love their passion, and pretty much everything they stand for. This quote sums it up: “Instead of criticising what’s going wrong, we wanted to imagine a world where these problems had been elegantly solved.”

Inspiring Article of the Month: Why Gratitude Is Good For Us…positive news 2

We love the website and magazine ‘Positive News’ as a source for motivation and uplifting stories. This month, an article that resonated with us was all about gratitude and five ways to practice it this winter.

This quote stuck with us: Scientists at the University of California, Berkeley, who studied more than 1,000 people aged between eight and 80, found that those who consistently practised gratitude enjoyed a host of benefits.”

Inspiring Photo of the Month:

We wanted to share the winner of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year. Sergey Gorshkov from Russia won the award for taking this exceptional image of a Siberian tiger scent-marking in a remote forest in Russia.

Judge Susan McElhinney described it as a ‘rare and intimate glimpse of a very endangered species…’

We absolutely love the shot and how it showcases the beauty of nature and wildlife in a natural, untouched environment.

Inspiring Websites of the Month:

Want to add some positive website to the usual lineup you visit? Here are three suggestions:

1) The Daily Smile – This is a daily podcast that focuses on positivity and brings you one feel-good story every day!

2) The Happy Newspaper A newspaper to celebrate all that’s good in the world – positive news and wonderful people. You can buy a subscription of the print newspaper, sign up for the newsletter, and buy all sorts of trinkets and ‘happy merchandise’ on the website.

3) Good News Network – A wonderful US-based website that has been running since 1997! GNN was founded because the media was failing to report the positive news.” Now it covers worldwide positive stories and inspirational figures in the community and their positive acts.
